Tom's Reviews I really like how diverse the music on this record is, and how great the songwriting is. These tracks are interesting, while not being overbearing in order to be so, and the band uses a decent variety of different instruments to convey their message. Oh, and the vocals are equally as fantastic, especially on The Man. Favorite track: New Moon.

Virtue 03:44
Shards of glass Pulled from their insides Body's trashed No worse than being cast aside Into the bag Into the grave And those they've left Will know what's left to save Though hard to see now They'd rather die than bow Pass the torch and light the flame Virtue be thy name Save their memories Recall the work they've done Recognize Though that's your only son And through his loss The world will gain Like on the cross The martyr he became Though hard to see now They'd rather die than bow Pass the torch and light the flame Virtue be thy name

Annihilate 05:39
The New Normal is the most normal The best normal since the phrase normal was invented The Great Normal. The normal to end all normals, your normal Normal thoughts, normal behaviors, nominally controlled by all your neighbors Controlled by your neighbors, controlled by your neighbors Wasn't it, yesterday, I complained 'bout everything How is it, so far away, whispered beliefs fading Annihilate Annihilate Holding on, to this thought, too tight, broken frame How quickly, we'll forget, nothing taken, nothing gained Annihilate Annihilate Somehow, someway, remember, something Bright lights, streak by, attention faltering Somehow, someway, remember, something Bright lights, streak by, attention faltering Turn it off Slow it down Always searching, searching Nothing found Annihilate Annihilate Wasn't it, yesterday, I complained 'bout everything How is it, so far away, whispered belief fading

Vivid 04:53
Wake up, still half asleep Where was I, vivid dream Golden spire, heavenly Lucid trees, drawing me Sometimes I forget, what I came here to do It's forged in the deep, hidden from my view Hidden from my view Labyrinth of doubt, circuitous task Eluding the truth, slipped out of my grasp Must feel full, sometime in my life, Built from fumes, dispersed through night Faded stills, warped through time Echoes etched, into my life Sometimes I forget, what I came here to do It's forged in the deep, hidden from my view Hidden from my view Labyrinth of doubt, circuitous task Eluding the truth, slipped out of my grasp The sun rose up, over the golden hills It glazed the treetops and warmed me with It's will I forgot about myself, and I felt alive I forgot about myself, I was freedom's child The sun rose up, over the golden hills It glazed the treetops and warmed me with It's will I forgot about myself, and I felt alive I forgot about myself, I was freedom's child

The Man 05:53
Developing tranquility I am standing still I tried to escape myself I guess I never will You used to hold me back You used to slow me down But when I realized your fallacy My mind became sound You're the man I cannot see You're the man who sits beside me You're the man I want to be You're the man who sits beside me Enveloped in tranquility No perfectionist ideal Giving up and giving in Opportunity to heal You used to hold me back You used to slow me down But when I realized your fallacy My heart became sound You're the man I cannot see You're the man who sits beside me You're the man I want to be You're the man who sits beside me Whoa oh whoa oh Whoa oh whoa oh Whoa oh whoa oh Wrapped in regret It's time I shed my skin Remnants of a tomb That I'm no longer in You're the man I cannot see You're the man who sits beside me You're the man I want to be You're the man who sits beside me

Remove my head from the guillotine Either way, wasn't gonna scream Staring out at these vacant streets At least now I can have some peace Dutifully we built it up Internal Warden now autonomous Break away, I was hypnotized Reveal the truths disguised by lies Sovereign Citizen Sovereign Citizen Perverted view of crime You'll never own our mind Turn on your light Reveal your resident parasite Violently purge and purify Sanctify your inside Turn on your light Reveal your resident parasite Violently purge and purify Sanctify your inside Break away, I was hypnotized Reveal the truths disguised by lies Sovereign Citizen Sovereign Citizen Perverted view of crime You'll never own our mind Remove my head from the guillotine Either way wasn't gonna scream Staring out at these vacant streets At least now I can have some peace Dutifully we built it up Internal Warden now autonomous

Black Hole, time stretching me thin, I'm brand new Fresh Eyes, snow without tread, bounding into Into Come here my son, head up to the sky Don't fear my child, they can't snuff out your light When all else falls apart, when all melts away I'll never be too far if you need a place to stay Come here my son, lift your head up high Don't fear my child, they can't snuff out your light When all else falls apart, when all melts away I'll never be too far if you find yourself astray Getting smaller all the time Getting smaller all the time Getting smaller all the time Getting smaller all the time Tread is wearing thin Circled round again Keep on going, crooked grin How much more till I sink in I'm all outa gin I'm all outa gin Getting smaller all the time Getting smaller all the time Getting smaller all the time Getting smaller all the time Tread is wearing thin Circled round again Keep on going, crooked grin How much more till I sink in I'm all outa gin I'm all outa gin Getting smaller all the time Getting smaller all the time Getting smaller all the time Getting smaller all the time I'm all outa gin I'm all outa gin

Ultima Thule 03:24
Charmed by boundless beauty, crack in the sky, Ultima Thule Slowly reach out my hand, what I don't understand will greedily consume me I've come so far, not far at all, not far enough, to change my world No way in, with a limb, end to trim, needled Djinn I've come so far, not far at all, not far enough, to change my world No way in, with a limb, end to trim, needled Djinn Needled Djinn Move along, move along, move along Been here far to long, nothing left for you to see Take my eyes and take my ears, take my arms and take my soul Take my eyes and take my ears, take my arms and take my soul Take my eyes and take my ears, take my feet and take my soul Take my eyes and take my ears, take my feet and take my soul I've come so far, not far at all, not far enough, to change my world No way in, with a limb, end to trim, needled Djinn I've come so far, not far at all, not far enough, to change my world No way in, with a limb, end to trim, needled Djinn Needled Djinn Charmed by boundless beauty, crack in the sky, Ultima Thule

Lemmings 05:00
A bad omen Walking a path you have not chosen Try and do right Lose what you know is freedom And some will warn you A gift to one another Take the high road Don't end up like me Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror So why does it continue Have we no will to learn Do we just think ourselves Worldlier than the elder Is it only experience Which breeds true knowledge Or is it all just fear Of being left behind Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror Lemmings, groupthink, horror, horror

about

Forged through the darkest days of the pandemic, this 10-song album takes you on a ride through the collective mind of the band. The tracks peek into the thoughts, feelings, and challenges of living through uncertain, unstable times. But underlying it all, the album appears to elicit one universal truth—that there is levity and peace in music.
